COMPETITION BOOT CAMP
A little bit of everything
The Competition Bootcamp is designed to improve and fine-tune all of the most important skills used in competitive action pistol shooting from the ground-up.
You will learn the driving theories of these "big hitter" skills as well as being led and coached through dry-fire drills that can be used at home to continually improve and then live-fire drills to assess and address areas for improvement.
These same topics are also taught in the Competition Skills Clinics, the difference being that in the CBC you will have the opportunity to engage each topic as an integrated unit.
You don't have to be a superstar shooter, or a bad shooter, or an average shooter in order to make use of these improvements - You just have to be a shooter who wants to get better. Everybody can benefit from a second set of eyes coaching them through drills and skills.
You will learn the theory of these "big hitter" skills and their application, as well as being led and coached through dry-fire drills that can be used at home to continually improve, as well as live-fire drills to assess and address areas for improvement.
The Competition BootCamp will start with a small sample of hallmark drills to measure individual shooter performance. Then, we will check out your shooting belt setup for efficiency and ergonomics, making recommendations and adjustments that you are comfortable with, as necessary.
Then, we will discuss, dry-fire, and live-fire drill the "big-hitters":
Stance and Posture - "Heads-up Shooting"
Defining a "work-space"
Gripping/Holding a Pistol
Aiming - Point/Target-Focus/Sight-Focus
Firing & Cadence
Mental and Physical Match Preparation
Finally, we will repeat the hallmark drills and measure your improvement.
